Following 10 years as press photographer in Canada Steve relocated to Asia, documenting news events from President Suharto’s fall in 1998 to post conflict in Myanmar, leading up to the aftermath of the 2025 controversial elections.
In 2007 Steve began filming for Ajazeera English before founding Asia Reports in 2010, producing News, Documentaries & Current Affairs.
Coverage Spans Political, Environmental, And Human Rights Issues—From The 2004 Tsunami, Thai Coup, And Rohingya Crisis To The Thai Cave Rescue And Post-Coup Myanmar.
Recent Work On Border Patrols And Bangkok’s Drug Center Contributed, In Part, To An Asian Academy Creative Award In 2025 For The Series ADDICTED.
